Levapren®-coated rollers
When the key requirement is hardness, Levapren® is a long way ahead of its competitors - for example, in "hard rubber" coating materials for rollers such as required in paper manufacture or steel processing.
One reason for choosing Levapren® is that this rubber has an amazingly low viscosity in an unvulcanized state. This means that large quantities of filler can be added without making the processing stage any more complicated. Thanks to its saturated molecular backbone, Levapren® is also more resistant to the build-up of heat in the product which can occur with high dynamic loads with high rpms under high contact pressure. Aging reactions which can quickly destroy conventional rubbers at high temperatures cannot find any point of attack.
Comparative tests have shown that Levapren® roller coatings last twenty times longer than their "conventional" rubber competitors.
